The Oxford General Management Programme focusses on developing exceptional leaders through mastery of both foundational business disciplines and advanced leadership capabilities. Additionally, the Oxford Business Essentials build mastery of core competencies: financial analysis, strategic thinking and operational excellence, which underpin executive decision-making.

The Oxford Business Essentials modules aim to equip participants with a comprehensive understanding of fundamental business concepts such as strategy, marketing, and finance, alongside developing critical thinking skills for strategic decision-making and innovation. It also focuses on enhancing leadership abilities, preparing individuals to effectively tackle future business challenges including digital transformation, sustainability and fostering diversity and inclusion.
The Business Essentials will commence with a live orientation, followed by one live interactive session conducted by dedicated tutors for each of the nine modules.

In this module, participants will learn how entrepreneurship requires resilience and adaptability to tackle challenges such as securing funding and navigating market unpredictability. They'll delve into the use of critical frameworks for assessing the viability of business ideas. Furthermore, this module will emphasise the importance of innovation and scalability, equipping participants with the knowledge to disrupt and succeed in dynamic markets.

The Oxford General Management Programme is designed for experienced professionals poised to transition from specialised functional roles into positions of broader business leadership. It is ideal for high-performing managers and divisional heads ready to operate with general management authority across multiple functions and business units.
The programme will help you deepen your strategic thinking and leadership capabilities and lead with a holistic business perspective.
Ideal candidate profile:
The programme attracts a cohort of exceptional leaders who meet the following criteria:
Experience: A minimum of seven years professional experience with a clear track record of progression into managerial or strategic leadership roles.
Current role: Currently managing a function, team, or business unit with significant responsibilities, including commercial oversight.
Education: At least a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent academic qualification. Preference will be given for candidates with demonstrated academic excellence.
Global perspective: International exposure or experience operating in multi-market environments (preferred).

Upon successful completion of the programme, participants receive a digital certificate from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
